Family: A Reading of Gay and Lesbian Literature kicks opposite the festivities at 6:30 PM forward June 21. Host and moderator (and Advocate columnist) Kate Clinton welcomes playwright Paula Vogel (How I Learned to Drive) and authors David Leavitt (The dead body of Jonah Boyd) and Allan Gurganus (Oldest Living Confederate Widow relates All) to Lincoln Center's Stanley H Kaplan Penthouse. The artists will read from their works and discuss evolving universals of family in literature and society.
